WEMBLEY
FAMILY TREE

Wembley Family Tree
We are proud to present Our Wembley Family Tree — an art installation created from the plaques of our decommissioned divisional trophies.
This vision, two years in the making, grew from the desire to create something that both acknowledges our past and embraces our future. Time was spent carefully collecting and documenting information so that these important records will never be lost.
This living artwork could not exist without the commitment of a dedicated group, whom we wish to formally thank and recognise: Sue Lothian, Sebastian Parry, Rob Parry, Emma Stevens, Charles Honeycutt, Phil Meagher, Jeff Ferguson, and our talented artist Priscila.
Too often trophies are discarded as clubs move forward. Our Tree instead celebrates every divisional champion and, more importantly, what each plaque represents. Each division can mean around 80 children in a season. Multiply that across 10 or more divisions each year, over 50 years, and you see the story of 40,000 opportunities for children to experience the joy of Teeball within the Wembley Teeball Family.
And it is not only the players we remember. Our Tree honours the families, coaches, base coaches, umpires, scorers, canteen volunteers, registrars, uniform and equipment coordinators, media officers, line markers, committees, subcommittees and delegates — the heartbeat of our club.
Our Tree stands as a reminder of all this and more:
-
The core integrity and principles of the game
-
Our recognition, admiration, and appreciation for the past
-
And our enthusiasm for the future, as new generations discover and contribute to this great game and life foundation.
There is space on Our Tree for the missing years, and for the many seasons yet to come.
We warmly invite you to come and view this special artwork — a celebration of our history, our people, and our future.
